| I've seen replacing the cap fix hot running cars . . . never. But "they" say it can happen. After the car is warmed up, protect your hands with some gloves from the heat and squeeze the large water hose coming off the radiator. The hose should feel like it's under pressure. If the hose does not feel like it's under pressure, buy a new radiator cap. I bet a new cap did not come with your new radiator, or did it? One time I did this little test and the radiator cap started hissing and gurgling when I squeezed the hose, so I knew the radiator cap was not making a tight seal and needed to be replaced.
